As per 22FEB12 GDS Inventory display, Air China starting 01OCT12 is introducing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on Beijing – New York JFK service, replacing Boeing 747-400PAX aircraft. Reservation and the seat map has been changed to 777-300ER, which tentatively marks the end of Air China’s scheduled Boeing 747-400PAX Operation. Air China received its First 747-400 in October 1989.
Flights on/after 28OCT12 are pre-loaded schedule which is identical to Winter 2011/12 season. The Star Alliance member will continue to operate Boeing 747-400COMBI aircraft on/after 01OCT12.

As per 22FEB12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Air India has further adjusted planned operation on Delhi – London Heathrow service from 25MAR12. The airline remains on track to reduce overall service from 2 to 1 Daily. However, the daily service is to be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft instead of previously planned -200LR.
Also, Mumbai – London Heathrow from 25MAR12 is also operated by 777-300ER, replacing -200LR. This route will also see operational schedule changes.

According to local tour operator, the airline’s FINAL Berlin departure is sold out. However, the airline and tour operator has added 2nd charter flight, which will operate Berlin Tegel – Berlin Tegel routing.

As of 22FEB12, Rwandair has shelved the plan to increase Kigali – Johannesburg service from 4 weekly to Daily. Service increase was originally due to start from 01MAR12, but this is no longer the case.
The airline currently operates Boeing 737-800 aircraft on this route. Schedule:

Hong Kong Airlines starting 01MAR12 is re-assigning Airbus A320 operation, which will shift from China operation to Singapore. The airline will operate Hong Kong – Singapore service exclusively with Airbus A320 aircraft.

Russian carrier Transaero starting 01JUL12 is starting operation out of Moscow Vnukovo airport, with flights to Blagoveschensk, Magadan and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Schedules and details regarding VKO as follows.
The airline today held a joint press conference with Vnukovo airport, which sees UN some of its Moscow Domodedovo operation to Vnukovo. UN claims Domodedovo Airport’s development rate is unable to match the airline’s. Moving selected flights from DME to VKO will free up capacity at DME in the interim. The airline also reached an agreement with Vnukovo Airport to build MRO hangar to faciliate UN’s Boeing 747-8I and Airbus A380 aircraft, which suggests high-capacity long-haul service will eventually move from DME to VKO, although the airline claims this is “under consideration”.
As of 21FEB12 GDS timetable and inventory display, UN has opened reservation for Moscow Vnukovo service. Based on schedule listing, it appears that the airline choose to add new flights on existing market out of VKO instead of DME.
