Volaris starting 01JUL12 is launching Mexico City – Oakland service, where it’ll operate 4 weekly service during peak season. Service is to be suspended from 21AUG12 to 05SEP12, and it’ll resume the service with twice weekly flight from 06SEP12 till 25SEP12. As per 26APR12 GDS timetable and inventory display, AIRFRANCE is increasing service to Cancun, a winter seasonal destination. The flight, Paris CDG – Cancun, will increase from 3 to 4 weekly, when it resumes seasonal service from 25OCT12. Service operated by 3-class 468-seater Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. In January 2012, other websites reported that AF is not resuming this service, which appears to be falsehood. This route, due to start 28OCT12, is now displaying 3 weekly operation, reduced from previously planned 4 weekly flights. As per 26APR12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Air Vanuatu starting 01NOV12 is increasing capacity on Port Vila – Nadi service, where 1 of 2 weekly flight will be operated by Boeing 737-800 instead of ATR72 turboprop aircraft. This will also leads to operational schedule change as well. The South Pacific island nation’s carrier is to resume this service from 01JUL12 (reported on 19APR12). According to DrukAir’s Singapore website, the airline is planning to start Paro – Mumbai twice weekly service, starting 15MAY12. However this route is currently not available for general public for the moment. Mumbai would be the carrier’s 6th destination in India.
