Japan & Sri Lanka Signs Open-Skies Agreement Posted: 26 Mar 2012 04:55 AM PDT Update at 1155GMT 26MAR12 Japan and Sri Lanka has concluded revised bilateral air service agreement, which includes “open-skies” deal in effect starting 2013. The meeting was held in Tokyo on 22MAR-23MAR12. Main highlights: 1) Unlimited service between Tokyo Narita and Sri Lanka from 2013, when annual slots at NRT increases to 270,000. The 3-class UNITED 767 will be maintained in Winter 2012/13 season as well, therefore overall frequency will maintain daily on/after 28OCT12 (it previously planned to operate 14 weekly service with CO 757 for Winter season).
