SA Airlink starting 11APR12 is introducing additional flights on Johannesburg – Ndola (Zambia) route, where it’ll increase from 7 to 9 weekly. The new flight operates with Embraer ERJ135. Combined with South African Airways’ mainline operation, SA offers 12 weekly flights on this route. Korean Air in Summer 2012 season is transferring additional 1-2 Boeing 747-400 aircraft from Seoul Incheon to Seoul Gimpo Airport, where the 747 will be the exclusive aircraft type to operate International service. As per 15MAR12 GDS timetable and inventory display, airtransat from 01MAY12 to 04SEP12 will once again operate service to Exeter and Newcastle in the UK, on board Airbus A310 aircraft. The airline operates Toronto – Exeter – Newcastle – Toronto once a week. In previous report on this site on 17OCT11, the airline’s reservation system was not displaying these flight (until March 2012). Virgin Australia has implemented phase 3 of Codeshare partnership with Singapore Airlines, which now sees Virgin Australia International unit’s “VA” code appearing on additional Singapore Airlines between Australia and Singapore, and beyond. New Codeshare routes cover: Singapore – Adelaide Singapore – Beijing Singapore – London Heathrow Singapore – Melbourne Singapore – Shanghai Pu Dong Singapore – Sydney VA already codeshares on SQ’s Singapore – Perth service. Singapore – Brisbane’s SQ operation does not carry VA code as VA codeshares with ETIHAD on this sector. Not all SQ service listed above carries VA code.
