This is on top of 5 being cancelled in Winter 2011/12 season. As per 13MAR12 GDS inventory display, Malaysia Airlines starting 25SEP12 is launching Airbus A380 service on Kuala Lumpur – Sydney MH123/122 service. The A380 aircraft will operate Daily, replacing Boeing 747-400 aircraft. With the latest replacement, MH’s remaining Boeing 747-400 scheduled operation is Kuala Lumpur – London Heathrow MH004/001 service. In the airline’s press release and various media report, MAS configuration for A380 is 494. however the airline’s seat map for SYD service is displaying 487 seats, same as London Heathrow flight (see report on 05JAN12). The other 7 seats are reserved for flight crews.
