As per 21FEB12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Emirates is shrinking planned capacity on Dubai – Seattle route, due to start from 01MAR12. From 01MAR12 to 03MAR12, the airline is operating Boeing 777-300ER (P12J42Y304) aircraft as planned. However, starting 04MAR12 this route will be operated by 777-200LR (P8J42Y236) instead. This results in the loss of 72 seats per day per direction. The 777-300ER aircraft planned for this route will then operate 1 Daily Dubai – Houston service. airgreenland in Summer 2012 season is launching service to Canada\s Nunavut Territory, with 2 weekly Nuuk – Iqaluit service on board Dash8-200 turboprop aircraft. With the service launch, it marks the service resumption of air traffic between Canada and Greenland, which First Air ceased operation on this route in early-2000s. Flying time on this route is 115 minutes, which greatly reduces travel time between the two. airgreenland will operate the flight from 18JUN12 to 03SEP12, and the airline has opened reservation on its website. The airline first mentioned the introduction of “sub-100 seater” aircraft for its 3rd and 4th hub – Makassar/Ujung Padang and Medan in the operational plan for 2012. This was later confirmed as CRJ1000NG, which GA signed an order with Bombardier for 18 aircraft on 15FEB12.

Dragonair starting 25MAR12 is to offer Airbus A330-300 operation on Daily basis on Hong Kong – Kunming route, replacing existing mix of A320/330 operation.
