Vietnam Airlines starting 02JUL12 is introducing Da Nang – Hangzhou charter service, on board Airbus A321 aircraft. This flight operates twice a week, but only available for reservation via tour operators or the airline directly. In addition, charter service on existing Da Nang – Macau route will see 3rd weekly service starting 18JUL12. Solomon Airlines has announced that starting 04JUL12, it’ll suspend service on Honiara – Port Moresby route. In a press statement, the airline says it plans to resume service to Papua New Guinea at a later date, but no exact time frame is given. The airline resumed the flight in April 2012, after 18 years of service suspension. On separate note, the airline from 30JUL12 will adjust operation on Honiara – Nadi route with operational day and schedule change. As per 27JUN12 GDS timetable/inventory display, as well as OAG Schedules iNet, Star Alliance member SAS’ MD81/82/87 aircraft in Summer 2013 season is scheduled to operate Copenhagen – Athens route, twice a week. The only route assigned for MD narrow-body operation in S13. Existing MD narrow-body operations are being replaced by CRJ900 and Airbus A319/321 on/after 31MAR13, as the airline phasing out majority of the type in 13Q1. However, the airline may add additional MD narrow-body flights for S13 season during the course of next few months. S13 schedule is in effect from 31MAR13. According to Drukair – Royal Bhutan Airlines, planned service launch on Paro – Mumbai has been postponed until 04SEP12.
