Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines continues its expansion in Iraq, with the launch of Najaf and Sulaymaniyah service in July 2011. With the launch of these new destinations, TK operates service to 5 Iraqi cities.
Schedules and Details:

From 05JUL11, the Star member will open Najaf service 3 times a week. However, this flight will be combined with existing service to Basra, which operation becomes Istanbul – Najaf – Basra – Istanbul. Service operates with Boeing 737-800

flydubai starting 17JUL11 will launch Dubai – Dammam service. Flight operates on Daily basis, which sees morning flights operating 3 times a week, afternoon 4 times a week.
Dammam is flydubai’s 6th destination in Saudi Arabia, and 43rd overall destinations in its network (including the launch of Ukraine service in Sep 2011)

SAS Group member carrier Blue1 is streamlining its operational fleet, which will be focused on Boeing 717 aircraft. It will phase out existing Avro RJ85 aircraft.
As a result, the Star Alliance member carrier will gradually canceling 5 European destinations from August 2011 and September 2011. Affected destinations are:

eff 06AUG11 Helsinki – Berlin Tegel
eff 08AUG11 Helsinki – Munich
eff 03SEP11 Helsinki – Amsterdam

Berlin and Munich currently served once a day, while other destinations sees up to 2 Daily flights.
Reservation for these services also closed.

Saudi Arabia’s nasair starting 08JUL11 will begin service to Lahore, its 26th destination overall, and 2nd destination in Pakistan.

LANChile starting this week is resuming service to Auckland and Sydney, after being forced to cancel the service for over a week due to ash clouds.
LANChile will resume 5 weekly service on Santiago de Chile – Auckland – Sydney with Airbus A340-300. Also, the airline from 18JUN11 to 05JUL11 is operating a total of 6-7 extra flights on Santiago de Chile – Papeete – Sydney route with A340, Papeete being the technical stop.

American Airlines starting 22AUG11 will cancel its Daily Los Angeles – San Salvador service, which is currently operated by Boeing 757 aircraft on daily basis. This marks the end of AA’s own operation between Los Angeles and Central America, excluding Mexico.
Last flight departs Los Angeles on 21AUG11, San Salvador on 22AUG11.

As per 20JUN11 GDS timetable display, CSA Czech Airlines has canceled planned service to launch on Prague – Baku route. This route was scheduled to start from 27JUN11 (original launch date was 06JUN11 but postponed).
However, the Skyteam member will offer Baku service via codeshare with Azerbaijan Airlines, starting 26JUN11. AZAL operates this route twice weekly.

As per 20JUN11 GDS timetable display, Transaero is resuming Moscow Domodedovo – Hong Kong summer seasonal route starting 29JUL11.
Previously the airline was to resume seasonal flight from April 2011, but postponed.
It’ll operate Hong Kong flight once a week with Boeing 777-200 aircraft, which planned operation is unchanged. Schedule:

Transaero in Summer 2011 season will expand its scheduled service in the Iberian Peninsula.
From 02JUL11, it’ll launch 1 weekly Moscow Domodedovo – Lisbon service on board Boeing 737-300 aircraft. From 22SEP11, it’ll launch 2 weekly Moscow Domodedovo – Madrid route, also with Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
