The 50th aircraft is a Boeing 737-800, the 17th of 20 ordered by EgyptAir between 2005 and 2009. This delivery also marked a 45-year partnership between Boeing and EgyptAir.

Boeing delivered the 737-800 on June 16 to GECAS and China United Airlines, the GECAS leasing customer which will operate the aircraft.

Korean Air has become the sixth A380 operator worldwide and the first in North East Asia with the introduction on June 17 of revenue service with its first super-jumbo.

The twice-weekly service will begin on June 12, 2012 and Virgin Atlantic Airways expects up to 94,000 customers to travel between London and Cancun in the first year.
