Emirates starting 01NOV11 will launch Daily Dubai – St. Petersburg service, its 2nd destination in Russia.
Service to be operated by 3-class A330-200 and A340-300. From 02JAN12, A330-200 service will be replaced by A340-500 with Suites.

As per 07JUN11 GDS timetable display, Korean Air has further revised Airbus A380 operation.
Reported on 03JUN11, the Skyteam member is operating A380 service on Seoul Incheon – Paris CDG route 3 times a week.
As a result, A380 service on Seoul Incheon – Los Angeles route will be delayed from 01OCT11 to 11OCT11, and operates 3 weekly instead of Daily. The Skyteam member is also adjusting A380 service to South East Asia during the month of September and October 2011. Further, planned A380 service entry to Bangkok, 2nd Daily to Hong Kong also sees postponement.
The Skyteam member remains on track to inaugurate A380 service on 17JUN11. Details:

Frankfurt and Paris CDG service is combined until 12JUN11, operating 4 times a week. On Delhi – London Heathrow service, it is temporary reducing flights from 2 to 1 Daily until 15JUN11, while Mumbai – London Heathrow until 12JUN11 sees Boeing 777-200LR operating instead of -300ER

British Airways and IBERIA has further expanded their codeshare agreement, which BA code is now appearing on IBERIA service to Guatemala City, San Salvador and Santiago de Chile.
IBERIA’s “IB” code is show on BA service to Accra, Jeddah, Lusaka and Riyadh.

China Eastern starting 27JUN11 will launch Wuxi – Taipei Taoyuan service on board Airbus A320 aircraft. Service operates twice a week.
However, reservation is not yet open for the moment as Taiwan and China has not yet release details of recent bilateral air service talks, which sees overall frequency increases from 370 to 500 weekly flights.

Korean Air Cargo last month (eff 14MAY11) relaunched Round-The-World service, with 1 weekly Boeing 747-400 Freighter aircraft operating Seoul Incheon – Anchorage – Miami – New York JFK – Brussels – Navoi – Seoul Incheon weekly service.
This marks the first ever direct air cargo service between US and Uzbekistan on regular basis. Navoi is a major hub in Central Asia for Korean Air Cargo and partner Uzbekistan Airways Cargo

China Airlines Cargo starting June 2011 has adjusted some of its operational routing to North America and Europe.
The airline on Sunday (05JUN11) has launched new Freighter service connecting Osaka and Atlanta (eastbound). It has also launched new Westbound service between New York JFK and Osaka (Both Atlanta and New York JFK service operates via Anchorage). On service to Europe, the airline also launches Westbound Hanoi – Europe connection, while Eastbound connection from Europe to Colombo is cancelled, plus service reduction from Delhi to Europe.

KLM from mid-June to August 2011 is adding 1 extra weekly frequencies to Aruba, Curacao, Los Angeles and Toronto.
Overall frequencies to Aruba increases from 2 to 3, Curacao and Los Angeles each increases from 7 to 8. Toronto increases from 13 to 14 weekly.

Ukraine’s Aerosvit today (07JUN11) operates last service on Kiev – Belgrade route. The 4 weekly Embraer ERJ145 aircraft service is being canceled from 09JUN11. According to report by EX-YU aviation news on 06JUN11, the cancellation is due to “technical reasons”.
Last departure from Belgrade is 08JUN11. The Ukrainian carrier is the sole carrier operating this route.

Weihai is the 9th Chinese city where China Eastern operates service to Seoul Incheon, which overall frequency to ICN stands at 68 per week, excluding subsidiary Shanghai Airlines.

Russia’s Transaero has began Boeing 747-400 operation on Moscow Domodedovo – Khabarovsk route, replacing Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. This also marks the first time that the Russian Far-East city receives Boeing 747 service on regular basis.
The Boeing 747 operation apparently went into effect in April or May 2011. It also operates 2 weekly St. Petersburg – Khabarovsk route.

Russian carrier VIM Airlines this month continues Russia-Far East expansion, with 5 weekly Moscow Domodedovo – Khabarovsk and 2 weekly Moscow Domodedovo – Magadan route.
Both routes launched on the weekend of 29MAY11 with Boeing 757 aircraft. The airline on 22MAY11 launched 2 weekly Moscow Domodedovo – Novosibirsk – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky route (reported on 08MAY11).
