Skymark Airlines, Japan's third-largest airline, has placed a $700 million-plus firm order for two more Airbus A380s, bringing its total order for A380s to six. Additionally, Airbus indicates it has received a commitment from an unidentified customer for 10 A380s.

The agreement between GoAir, which bills itself as 'The Fly Smart Airline', and Airbus was signed on June 23 at the 49th Le Bourget Airshow in Paris.

The contract, announced at the Paris Airshow on June 23, is the largest order ever placed for the A320 family and makes AirAsia the biggest airline customer for the Airbus single-aisle product line worldwide.

Ecuador's national flag carrier TAME has signed a contract to order three new ATR 42-500 regional turboprop airliners, in a deal which ATR values at $54 million.

The deal was announced by regional turboprop manufacturer ATR and NAC at the Paris Airshow on June 22. Including the options, ATR values NAC's order at ome $450 million.
