Current Seat Map used on JAL’s new Tokyo Narita – Boston service (due to begin from 22APR12) on its web booking, is using Boeing 767-300ER’s on temporary basis.

Estonian Air starting 05SEP11 is launching Tallinn – Trondheim service on board CRJ900 aircraft. This route operates five times a week.

As per 29JUN11 GDS timetable display, Air China from 01JUL11 to 31JUL11 will reduce service by 1 weekly flight each on Beijing – Dusseldorf and Beijing – Munich route.
Dusseldorf reduces from 4 to 3 weekly, while Munich reduces from 5 to 4 weekly (includes twice weekly service extended to Athens, which is unaffected).

As per 29JUN11 GDS timetable display, Air China’s re-configured Airbus A330-200 aircraft (C30Y208) is gradually entering International service starting July 2011, in addition to selected domestic service.
The re-configured A330-200 features new lie-flat Business Class seating. Existing A330-200 layout is C36Y215 and C12Y271. Planned re-configured A330-200 aircraft is currently scheduled to operate on following service.
Note all specific routes, operational period and days with re-configured A330-200 aircraft mentioned below is subject to change, and may be substituted with other aircraft with older products.

Air China this year will be re-configuring 10 Airbus A330-200 while introducing 2 new units.
In Sabre timetable display, these re-configured A330-200 operation is using the aircraft code “321″, used by the airline internally.

As per 29JUN11 GDS timetable display, Korean Air is postponing Boeing 737-900ER service on Seoul Incheon – Ho Chi Minh route by 1 week.
The 2nd Daily service, due to be launched from 01JUL11, will be operated by Boeing 737-800. -900ER service is now scheduled to begin from 08JUL11.

ASIANA AIRLINES has further extended codeshare operation with Turkish Airlines, which its “OZ” code is now appearing on Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul Ataturk – Nairobi route.

Vladivostok Air from 01JUL11 is introducing seasonal seasonal Vladivostok – Dalian route. This site on 08JUN11 reported that it is launching this route with 1 weekly service.
However, the airline will now be operating this route twice weekly, plus adding new Khabarovsk – Dalian service. These seasonal service operates until 12SEP11.

Rwandair is expanding service to Nairobi and Johannesburg service starting July 2011.

WizzAir starting 13SEP11 is launching 3 weekly Lodz – London Luton service on board Airbus A320 aircraft. London Luton is the low-cost carrier’s 2nd routes out of the Polish city, after Dortmund, where it currently operates twice weekly.

As per 29JUN11 GDS timetable display, DELTA is reducing Detroit – Hong Kong service from 5 weekly to 4 weekly from 25AUG11 to 23MAR12, 10 weeks earlier than planned.
In 2010, the Skyteam member reduced this service from 30OCT10, the launch of winter schedule. In September and October 2010, this route was operating 5 times a week. For the moment, it appears that the carrier will not add 5th weekly flight during Christmas and New Year season, which was in operation from 18DEC10 to 31JAN11 in Winter 2010 season.
In addition, during the month of October 2011, 1 of4 weekly service is operated by Boeing 777-200ER instead of -200LR.

Star Alliance members Aegean Airlines and US Airways has issued an application, seeking for approval from US Department of Transportation for its codeshare agreement.
The codeshare agreement covers service between US and Greece, as well as US and Cyprus.

oneWorld member S7 Airlines starting 01OCT11 is launching Ekaterinburg – Beijing 2 weekly service, on board Airbus A320 aircraft. S7 will be the 3rd carrier to offer this service (Air China and Ural Airlines both operates this route).
Also, for the first time, the airline is launching Vladivostok – Hong Kong weekly service starting 02NOV11, on board Airbus A320 aircraft. Service operates on Wednesdays. This is part of oneWorld carrier’s new strategy to expand Russia Far-East service (See post on 10JUN11).
