As per 30JUN11 GDS timetable display, Singapore Airlines is extending service reduction on Singapore – Los Angeles NONSTOP service on board Airbus A340-500 aircraft.
The Star Alliance member is extending service cut from Daily to 5 weekly until the end of Summer schedule on 29OCT11, except August 2011. Previously the carrier planned to operate Daily service from 26JUL11.

Air China Re-configuration
Star Alliance member Air China has launched re-configuration on its Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 777-200 fleet. 10 Airbus A330-200 will be re-configured in 2011, and 10 777-200 will be re-configured in 2012 and 2013. Configuration upon completion:
Airbus A330-200: C30Y208. Introduction of lie-flat Business Class
Airbus A330-300: C30W16Y255 and C30W20Y255. Introduction of Premium Economy Class
Boeing 777-200: C30W63Y217. The 777 currently configured in C49Y296 and F12C49Y253. Upon project completion, First Class will be removed and it’ll introduce Premium Economy class service

Air China for the second time postponed planned Boeing 777-300ER inaugural. Latest inaugural date is scheduled for 26JUL11, instead of 23JUL11. Original inaugural date was scheduled 15JUL11.

ANA has announced it’s Boeing 787 Service Ready Operational Validation (SROV) will add Nagoya stop with the Dreamliner begins SROV flights in Japan next week.
The 787, in regular ANA livery, will visit Nagoya on 10JUL11.

Air China starting 08JUL11 will launch Beijing – Rikaze/Shigatse 3 weekly service on board Airbus A319 aircraft. Rikaze/Shigatse is the 2nd highest airport in terms of elevation in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Elevation is 3782 feet, located 43km from the town center.
Rikaze/Shigatse is Tibet’s 5th airport, as well as Air China’s 5th destination in the region. The Star member also serves Bangda/Changdu, Lhasa, Lin Zhi and Si-Quan-He.
