Virgin America Plans to Begin Serving Puerto Vallarta Posted: 14 Jul 2011 10:34 AM PDT The airline has filed a request with the U.S. Department of Transportation for authority to fly to Puerto Vallarta from San Francisco. Subject to approval from both the U.S. DOT and the Mexican government, Virgin America plans to begin flying to Puerto Vallarta this winter.
