JQ will be using the same flight number pair, JQ007/008, on this route. This pair is currently used on Melbourne – Singapore service. Due to scheduling issues, passengers originating Melbourne will have 2hrs layover in SIN, but Beijing originating passengers will see connection time over 11 hours. As per 13JUL11 GDS timetable display, this route has finally appeared in the airline’s inventory display and is open for reservation (on some flights only). The airline announced the launch of this route on its website in May 2011.
