As per 13JUL11 GDS timetable display, BIMAN Bangladesh Airlines on 25JUL11 and 29JUL11 is to operate 2-class Airbus A310 aircraft instead of mono-class DC10 on Dhaka – Hong Kong service.

JetStar Airways today (13JUL11) announced it’ll launch Singapore – Beijing service on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Service begins from 24NOV11.
JQ will be using the same flight number pair, JQ007/008, on this route. This pair is currently used on Melbourne – Singapore service. Due to scheduling issues, passengers originating Melbourne will have 2hrs layover in SIN, but Beijing originating passengers will see connection time over 11 hours.

China Eastern Airlines starting 09AUG11 is launching 2 weekly scheduled charter on Shanghai Pu Dong – Honolulu route, on board Airbus A340-300.
As per 13JUL11 GDS timetable display, this route has finally appeared in the airline’s inventory display and is open for reservation (on some flights only). The airline announced the launch of this route on its website in May 2011.

As per 13JUL11 GDS timetable and inventory display, CSA Czech Airlines has reduced service on Bratislava – Brussels and Bratislava – Rome route by 1 weekly. Brussels service is now operating 2 weekly instead of 3, and Rome operates 4 weekly instead of 5.
Also, just one month after the Skyteam member launched its Bratislava base, it’ll cancel its 2 Daily Prague – Bratislava service starting 29JUL11.

Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia Group’s codeshare service on over 70 routes will begin from 26JUL11. On 08JUL11, this site reported that codeshare service begins from 30OCT11 in error. However, the re-aligned schedule on Trans-Tasman route between the two carriers remains on track from 30OCT11
From 01SEP11, American Airlines’ codesharing flight numbers on flights operated by MALEV from AA7200-7299 series to AA8100-8199
From 16JUL11, Continental will move its codeshare flight numbers on flights operated by UNITED. The new codeshare flight numbers will be randomly assigned
Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express has started placing their respective “HX” and “UO” code on 6 Domestic China routes operated by Hainan Airlines via Beijing to: Changchun, Jiamusi, Lanzhou, Mudanjiang, Qiqihar, Urumqi
QANTAS since 01JUL11 has launched codeshare service with JetStar Asia on the latter’s Singapore – Ho Chi Minh, Singapore – Kuala Lumpur and Singapore – Penang route. It also codeshares on 3K’s service to Thailand

THAI on 11JUL11 held a board of directors meeting, which includes the discussion on fleet retirement. Between 2011 and 2017, the Star Alliance member will be phasing out 45 aircraft, including existing leased aircraft, includes:
