Posted: 05 Aug 2011 01:00 AM PDT SAS and Spanair starting 01DEC11 will terminate their bilateral codeshare agreement, which reservation for travel starting on and after 01DEC11 has been closed since Monday (01AUG11). Financial situation at Spanair has been in “emergency situation” since January 2011, and has partially contributed to SAS’s financial loss via codesharing despite Spanair is no longer part of the SAS Group. On separate note, Spanair and US Airways’ Codeshare agreement has converted to unilateral, which Spanair’s “JK” code no longer displayed on US Airways’ operating flight. Posted: 05 Aug 2011 12:21 AM PDT As per 05AUG11 Amadeus timetable display, China Airlines has fixed its discrepancy between selected GDS (Amadeus and Galileo) and its inventory system, on Taipei Taoyuan – Vienna route. Earlier this week (which was reported on 03AUG11), both Amadeus and Galileo were displaying service to reduce from 3 to 2 weekly, starting 30OCT11. As per 04AUG11 schedule update, the 3rd weekly service has been “restored”. However, there weren’t any changes to CI’s system. Additionally, service on Taipei Taoyuan – Sanya route will now begin from 06SEP11. Unlike other airlines, all changes will go into effect from 26SEP11, one month earlier than most carriers (Although in 1960s/70s, most airlines’ transitioned from summer to Winter schedule from late-September).
