ANA expands Continental codeshare on all Japan – Guam service from Jun 2011 Posted: 24 May 2011 12:45 AM PDT ANA starting 01JUN11 further expands codeshare service with Continental, which it’ll codeshare on all Continental service between Japan and Guam. At this point, Sendai is excluded, as well as planned CO service to Okinawa, which will be added later when it begins operation. SriLankan Airlines plans additional Paris & Milan service in W11 as of 24MAY11 Posted: 24 May 2011 12:40 AM PDT As per 24MAY11 Sabre GDS timetable display, SriLankan Airlines is loading 5th weekly service to Paris CDG and 4th weekly to Milan Malpensa. The routing, which displaying service effective 02NOV11, operates Colombo – Paris CDG – Milan Malpensa – Colombo. Note this flight is not loaded in UL’s inventory system as this may be loaded in error or yet to be finalized. Schedule: UL565 CMB0310 – 0955CDG1125 – 1300MXP1430 – 0455+1CMB 332 3 On 15MAR11, this website first reported the carrier’s plan to add 4th weekly to Paris CDG and 5th weekly to Frankfurt from Christmas 2011. LANChile Changes to European operation from mid-Jul 2011 Posted: 24 May 2011 12:35 AM PDT LANChile is gradually reducing Santiago de Chile – Madrid route starting 16JUL11. From that date service reduces from 10 to 9 weekly, including the cancellation of tag-on flight to Paris CDG (See post on 10APR11). This further reduce to Daily from 13AUG11. On separate note, current LA704/705 Santiago de Chile – Madrid – Frankfurt 6 weekly service will once again increase to Daily from 15JUL11. The airline has reduced this route from Daily to 5 weekly. However, it’ll be offering Daily service once again in particular from 16JUN11 to 18AUG11, and from 01DEC11. TransAsia Airways launch Taipei – Phuket and Singapore service from Jun 11 Posted: 24 May 2011 12:20 AM PDT Taiwan’s TransAsia Airways starting 04JUN11 is starting Taipei Taoyuan – Phuket service, on board Airbus A321 aircraft. Service operates every 4 days. Reservation for this route appears to be only available through tour packages. Also, the airline will launch Daily Taipei Taoyuan – Singapore service on board Airbus A320, starting 30JUN11. Singapore departure begins 01JUL11. These new routes are part of the Taiwanese carrier ambitious expansion plan within Asia, which announced during the airline’s 60th anniversary few weeks ago (also marks Taiwan’s oldest carrier).
